Shred was founded by two guys located 3000 miles away and we work with artists around the world.
Jon
I’m sure everyone at one time in their life has been given the advice to “Do what you love”, but how many people actually follow that advice. I’ve tested video games, modeled characters for a video game, worked at a place that did movie posters for Hollywood, animated storyboards for test commercials… and worked at Taco Bell. What I learned from all of these jobs was that I didn’t love them and what I was truly passionate about was starting my own business, doing things differently, and coming up with new creative ways to solve problems.
I started Mediocore Clothing almost a year ago and it has been a learning experience that has completely changed my life. Getting that first sale online was an awesome feeling and getting over 50 sales in one night made me realize I could do this for the rest of my life.
SHRED was something I wanted to do a while ago but I never had all the pieces to complete the puzzle. I met Eric through a design job I did and he put together a solid team to make my dream into a reality. My name is Jon Kruse and I am in charge of the art direction.

Having a dream and making it a reality is something about 95% of people never do. I have taken the move forward and never look back attitude several times over and it has worked out great. What can I say about entrepreneurship and how it has affected my life is that it has shaped me as a person today, the people I spend my time with, and to develop the goals that I want to achieve.
I owned a clothing line called be cute which was started after I decided to step back from playing in bands two years ago. It was the best learning experience for me seeing that people wanted to wear something that was created and influenced by myself and others. But what I can say to everything that I have done is that the greatest parts are experiencing and learning with others through these endeavors.
Of the four of us who are on the journey to create Shred into something amazing and breathe taking I have known neither of the other 3 for more than a year and a half. The idea to start a new line wasn’t sparked until I had hired Jon to do some work on one of my other companies and then figuring out what other personality types we would need and filling the spots. My name is Eric Sullivan and I oversee the business development, marketing, and pretty much everything that goes on with Shred.
I have experience an array of different traits that I have developed through my experiences over the years of being an entrepreneur. I love what I do and I am excited to take this adventure with a great group of people. I graduated early from college with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I hope that you will follow us in the creation of something magnificent but get to know each of us as people as well because it’s all about the experiences that you have with people that make it all worth it.

Hey Jon,
My name is Adam and I too have hopes of one day owning my own clothing line. I have the ideas and the artists to make it happen however I don’t know where to begin. Also my budget is VERY tight. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated….

Hey Adam if you haven’t already checked out my other site http://www.howtostartaclothingcompany.com it has a lot of information.
Really this is all a learning process and the more you know the better off you are. Just go for it. Don’t worry about failing because you will learn from your failures. Just charge forward and never look back.

Yeah I agree with Jon it’s all about going for it and once you do you will feel great. It is a lot of work but if it’s something your passionate about you will love every second of it.

Hey Jon, I’ve noticed you have several sites. I was wondering if you do all the web design and management yourself or hire a professional company. I’m working on some projects and am trying to determine if I should invest some time learning web design so I can control my own sites in the future.
